Lauren S recommends the book Ten

Lauren Myracle reading Ten

I’ve loved the author Lauren
Myracle for a very long time. Her books are amazing. I could not stop reading. That is why I am recommending her book Ten. This book is really good! I am not a big book fan, but this book made me want to read all her books in that series. The books Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen are part of this series. The first book of the series was Ten and so far my favorite!

                      What is this book about?
Lauren Myracle’s book Ten is about a little girl named Winnie Perry. Winnie is turning ten and She’s almost in middle school! Ten means that Winnie can handle anything, even her three-year-old baby brother and an older sister. And with her best friend, Amanda, by her side, Winnie plans on enjoying every last second of their last year in elementary school.

Why do I love this book?
One reason why I loved the book Tenis because I can relate to it. When I was nine turning ten I never wanted to grow up because I didn’t want to have the responsibility’s of going to middle school. Winnie was also bullied  which I could relate too because my someone I know had experienced the life of the people being bullied and it wasn’t fun. So that was the downside to the book. This book was very good but also sad at some parts.

                                            Whos Winne?
Winnie is a "unique" girl who finds herself at times unsure whether she should work harder to fit in and be less of a "goofball." Her goofiness adds a lot of humor and I found myself laughing out loud several times. Other main characters include her older and wiser sister, her sometimes annoying little brother, her (most of the time) best friend, and even a few boys. Although Winnie refuses to choose a crush as her friends are doing, she does have a few moments of wordlessness at camp when she meets an amazingly cute boy.

This book is very great! Read it! You will love it!
