kick By Walter Dean Myers 

Hi my name is Andrew and I am recommending the book I just finished its called Kick. I chose this book because its about soccer and soccer is my favorite sport. Once I started reading I really liked it because its about a kid in middle school playing for the school soccer team just like me.

So like  I said before this is about a kid named Kevin who plays for his middle school soccer team.Some different places in the book are Kevin's house sergeant browns house and a school soccer field. What I thought was confusing at some times was the narrator switches a lot between Kevin and sergeant brown the police officer.

So the plot of the book is a boy named kevin on the school soccer team gets in trouble when his friend christy's parents are fighting and she calls Kevin to meet her at the park when Kevin gets there he sees Christy driving her dads car. she says get in and he doesn't hesitate. then Kevin asks whats wrong she says her mom is depressed and her dad is trying to force her out of it by hitting and pushing her and chritsy gets tired of it and thats why she took her dads car. Kevin feeling bad for her says he will drive the car back so they switch spots and kevin starts to drive home and they are too young to drive but he keeps going.on the way home he crashes the car and the person in the other car calls the police. when they get there they put Kevin the the police car and bring Chrisy home and Kevin to jail.the next day when he goes back to school every period of the day kids were just staring at him and when he got to lunch he asked his friend why was everyone staring and he said not many kids here were sent to jail.

A couple days later he had his first school soccer tournament and they won but in the middle of the game Kevin foul's a kid and get a red card which means he can't play for the rest of the game and the next game.after the game Kevin went and waited behind the buches of chritsy's house and waited for her nanny Doleres to leave and he followed her home becuase he thought christy's dad Mr.Mcnamera was under paying her and he told sergant brown where she lived but sergeant brown got really mad because he told kevin not to snoop around. so after the next game was the game to get to the semi finals to play the golden eagles in the finals they won there game with kevin scoring 1 and assisting 1. so the big game everything leading up to thisbut in the end they lost in p.k's and thats the end.

I thought the book was very good and interesting to read but reading it is up to youi woud give it a 8.5 out of 10.So i recomend reading the book.And that was my recommendation on the book Kick by Walter Dean Myers.
