Gianna V recommends Confessions of a Murder Suspect

Confessions of a Murder Suspect

I had just finished my one of my favorite series, Maximum Ride when I saw another book. “Confessions of a Murder Suspect", the back of the book read in bold letters. I was in the mood for reading a good mystery at the time and it looked like an okay preview of the book, considering it was by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro. James Patterson is one of my favorite authors for young adults, so I read the preview.  I didn't expecting it to be as good as the Maximum Ride series.

As soon as I read the first two pages I realized that I was far from being right. This book was action packed!  It took place in a penthouse apartment in New York City. This book is told from the first person point of view by a girl named Tandy. Her parents had just been murdered in the middle of the night in the apartment. No one, aside from Tandy, her mother’s personal assistant Samantha, Tandy’s two brothers Hugo and Harry and her parents here home that night. All of the windows and doors were locked. Tandy’s parents had died in some mysterious way. The police thought she had killed her parents.

Now Tandy needs to figure out who did it, and prove that she is not guilty of this heinous crime. She finds out unspeakable secrets about her parents and her family along the way. Tandy was the smartest child in the Angel family. But strangely she was always in perfect control of her emotions. People called her a sociopath. She was always calm and collected. But she also hid many things from people. Tandy was very strong too.

One theme of this story is to never give up. Tandy had to spend several nights in jail and she never gave up trying to find out how her parents were killed. In this book Tandy had gotten a "Big Chop".  A "Big Chop" is a big punishment for doing something wrong. This had happened to Tandy and to me, as I have gotten many punishments for doing something wrong in my short life.  If you are in the mood for some mystery then you should read this book.
